Voice Recorder App

Hi,

I search a Voice Recorder App for Android, because I don't like the preinstalled one.
An App with a few adjustments like volume or eq would be nice.
Basicly just a simple App, good recordings (well, as good as it gets with a smartphone), no glitches or whatever.
If you know any please share.

Oh, and I prefer free apps, and (if thats even possible) ad-free apps.

+1 for the smart voice recorder. I use it and it records crystal clear (for a phone). It's a bit too loud for my taste but it gets the job more than done.

I recorded a little bit of bass on that as a tester, its okay for voice but I couldn't find any EQ settings for instruments.

What's the sound quality like when recording on phones compared to the action cameras?

Anyone got any vlogs with a phone recording the audio?

It doesn't have an EQ. But you can set a gain factor (aka volume). It's a basic , free , easy to use voice recorder .

I am working on my first vlog. I tried going out but got wet instead. You can check the video I just uploaded ( I say like 1 sentence but you can understand how it sounds).

James Brown does, his recent vlogs have been a dual one with his wife recording into her phone via mic

Yeah nothing wrong with it for voice recording, and it doesn't pick up to much background noise. If doing an interview it would be really handy.

I'll try Smart Voice Recorder, RecForge Lite amd Titanium Recorder (because it's ad-free), one of those three should work out fine. Hopefully...

Thanks for all the help.

Does anyone disable AGC or not? I find with it disabled, the recordings are just clipping at ridiculous levels. With it enabled its fine? lol.. I guess I'll just keep it enabled

If that's automatic gain, I always leave that off.

Set the gain manually so you don't get clipping, even if it's quiet. Then do a compression and noise reduction in audacity afterwards.

Everything I've tried has failed its either my phone or the mic, no matter what settings I use, I cannot stop the clipping. I'm starting to think its too sensitive, will try and use it with the gopro when I get the adapter.

I never got the phone recording thing to work, I think phones are very sensitive to the impedance of the mic you use.
