Looks like i have misplaced my mic,
so i'm looking to buy a new one but i dont really wanna buy the 20$ drift one, because with shipping and everything. It racks up the price quite a bit, so i was hoping that you could give me some cheaper alternatives, so i'm able to shoot some vlogs and such:D
 
HEY GIRL WHATS GOOD? haha so I got my mic for about 20 bucks and I think it sounds pretty damn good. The only problem is it requires a battery so it may go out mid ride. Cons: The battery pack is annoying, no LED light to display battery life. The clip bends very easily. Foam pad around mic falls off very easily. 20ft cable, have to speak louder on freeway.

Pros: Sounds great, cheap, plenty of clips to position parts in the right area. thin cable, easy to tape/hide wires.

yeah i tried several, but i didnt find anything that fits needs...i dont know our pc stores might just be wierd

and sculpin, i kinda dont want a battery powered mic, as it just gives you one more thing to fail or run out of battery
we'll see i'll just look around a bit more

No Dan.... It's just your tech that's ageing! Lol ... You are frozen in time and are just as youthful and spritely as you feel .... For best results I recommend feeling a 21 year old! Bahahahahahahahahha ;):D
 
First, what camera do you have? Drft HD? Ghost or later?
The difference is the connector they use. Latest cameras use a 3.5mm connector, the Drift HD uses a 2.5mm connector.
You can get a cellphone headset that will work as a mic. Try a Motorola Headset with the right connector. It should work out-of-the-box. I just got one from a clearance bucket for $3 in case the one I'm using breaks.

i ordered some 3$ mic from dx.com, we'll see how that works..if it doesnt, well it was still only 3$, but i will have to think of some other stuff.
thanks for the cellphone headset idea tho, i'll definatly try it out..untill i get the actual mic atleast:D
 
i went with a neweer lapel mic. i took the tip off the cover and put some tape around it to keep it still and it does okay. i also use sound forge to edit the eq. fills in the gaps well enough for now. 2 for 50cents+shipping, not bad....

Yeah i saw that on ebay i think but it said they dont deliver that to slovenia lol..its almost like i live at the end of the world here:p
