Broken GoPro Mic Adapter in first 30 minutes! Also, music in your videos?

So I broke my GoPro mic adapter before I got to use it on the road. Kinda bummed I didn't get to go out and use it, but here's a little update and also here's a rundown of my setup.

I also had a question for you guys. I like the idea of having a soundtrack in some of my videos, or just featuring a song for about 25 seconds in certain parts. Unfortunately doing so blocks my video in certain areas. Should I get rid of monetization on my account and throw some tracks on there anyway? It's not essential to have music, but I'd like to.

That sucks. A Year or so back a coworker forgot his wallet in the house and walked back into the house wearing the helmet with his brand new Gopro. As he walked through the door he broke the cable off on the door frame. It broke a connection in the camera as well and we had to pull it all apart and figure it all out.

As for the Music...? I tend to like the vlogs better when it's raw and to the point without a lot of fluff and annotations. But that's just me.

How does one know their videos are getting blocked in certain areas ??? That's something I've always wondered . I'd be curious if mine are because of the music, stupid copyright trolls ~_~ .....

Yeaah like I just want a quick little song for the first 15-20 seconds of each video. I also don't want it to effect my standing. I guess the thing to do would be to turn monetization off? I wonder if that'd be ok.

There are soooo many sources for music that is royalty free a lot of people use this guy, Kevin Macleod... he kind of a youtube patron saint for music lol

And by the way... none of those require you to turn off monetization. All they ask is that you post thier creative commons license and give credit in your description
