Navigation App?

Does anyone know of a good navigation app for android that lets you set your own route? I can create my own route in Google Maps on my PC but I can't seem to get it to work with Navigation on my phone..

I basically want to set a point to point route for my GPS to follow instead of having to take the shitty straight roads it always wants to put me on.

I don't know about setting up your own routes but I use Waze. It's "community" based so the traffic, camera light location and police locations are constantly updated (depending on how many "Wazers" are around). And it "learns" your preferred route. May be worth looking into.

I want an app for iOS where you can use the maps offline so you don't chew your data allowance, nor are you stuffed if you're in an area of no or piss poor signal.

I was wondering if there were alternatives.

I'd just buy a Zumo or a Rider, but I just don't get how they're more than double a car nav.

I use a Tom Tom Rider, it's amazing and well worth the money. So convenient being able to use it with gloves and not having to use a sandwich bag when it rains. Also much more durable than standard car navs. Oh, and the mounting system is top class.

Get one ;)
