Watching some videos I got an idea.
Let's make a list of "motovlogging achievements" to include into our videos. I saw some vloggers do it and I don't think anybody carries a list so let's make one. Ideally we need to get to something big and diverse, like 100~200 achievements in varying degrees of difficulty. Let's keep achievements out of youtube metrics (Likes, views, subscribers and the likes).
A good idea will be to categorize them in "n00b mistake", "dangerous situations" or something like that but I'll leave that for when we have a big list. Also it'll be nice to have a logo to embed in the videos while doing the achievements.
So this is the list so far:
01- Who are you? - Wave to another biker and don't get a wave back.
02- Welcome to the tubes! - Upload your first vlog.
03- Respect! - Get a wave back (this started it all
).
04- Would you like a towel? - Vlog in the rain (or better yet, get caught in the rain while vlogging).
05- 何て言ったの？ - Vlog in another language.
06- Aargh!, my ears! - Upload a vlog of yourself singing inside your helmet (I know a bunch who already did this!).
07- You seem handy - Upload a DIY video.
08- Got caught! - Get pulled over by a cop.
09- Problem officer? - Go past a police checkpoint, don't get pulled over.
10- Do you even vlog brah? - Participate in one of the weekly hangouts hosted by motovloggers for motovloggers.
11- Early vlogger gets the views - Vlog in the night, past twilight and end in sunrise.
12- Cool story bro! - Vlog non-stop for 15 minutes. No editing cuts allowed.
13- Time flies! - Vlog dawn to dusk.
14- You done yet? - Vlog non-stop for 1 hour. Only one cut allowed.
15- Vlog forever! - Upload a vlog of yourself vlogging for 4 hours non-stop. Cuts allowed every 20 minutes since most cameras can't handle non-stop recording.
16- My ears are melting - Get a the best sound quality in a vlog. (1)
17- Is that a wheelie? - Wheelie a 250cc or smaller bike.
18- They grow so fast! - Upgrade your bike.
19- You wanna get killed? - Play the kill switch game.
20- Rev-it! - Inadvertently hit neutral and rev the flick out of your bike.
21- Nice set of pictures - Go vlogging with your camera accidentally left in time-lapse mode, compile the time-lapse and publish the results.
22- You seem to like corners - Go ride some twisties.
23- Can't chew gum and cross the street - Stall your vlog because you have to pay attention to your surroundings.
24- Got your pad on? - Drag knees.
25- Unleash the power - Ride on a race track.
26- Cool Move Bro! - Leave your stand down and have the bike cut out when you click into 1st ... All captured on film ... Better if mates are there and laugh!
27- False Start - Be Vlogging while at the red light, mis read the change and have to stop again without crossing into actual intersection.
28- Get the Bird - Receive a rude hand gesture from a cager.
29- Party Foul - Stall your bike at the lights.
30- Journalist - Ride and review a bike that you do not own nor have ever owned.
31- "Sorry Mom" - Acknowledge something you know your mother would disapprove of.
32- Passenger - Vlog while riding two-up.
33- RIDIN' Dirty - Get hit with bird s**t
34- Zoomer/Gotcha - Ride up behind a mate and as you go past him hold in the clutch and rev it hard!, making them react in shock!.
35- Spitting Image - Get spitted on while riding (cager spits out the window, you get hit).
36- A Present! - Arrive at bike, find bird poo on it.
37- No Start - Completely miss the green light, while filtering. Get stranded between two lanes of moving cars desperatly trying to launch.
38- Nooooooooooo - Bike malfunction (stranded, isn't rideable anymore) while vlogging.
39- I am RAMEKIN! - Get a girl to wave back at you.
40- IMPOSSIBRU - Get a cager to wave at you.
41- Children are our future - Get a child to wave at you.
42- A wild subcriber appears - Film one of your subscribers.
43- Gettin' Famous! - Be recognized in the street.
44- Oh Hello There - Find another vlogger.
45- Nice bike - Find another rider with the same bike.
46- Mirror Image - Find another rider with the same bike, same color.
47- Found a twin - Find another rider with the same bike, same color, same helmet.
48- Is that me? - Find another rider with the same bike, same color, same helmet, same jacket (and color), gloves(and color).
49- Twilight Zone - Find another rider with the same bike, same color, and full same equipment and colors(helmet, jacket, gloves, boots, pants and anything else you might be carrying).
50- Straight as an arrow - Do an entire vlog without one single turn. Not even highway turns - perfectly straight.
51- Oh crap!, I didn't notice - Accidentally run a red light while vlogging.
52- So much calamari - Spot squids on the streets, keep a tally counter.
53- Look mom, no hands! - Do an entire vlog riding without touching the handlebars.
54- Parla con le mani - Do way too much hand gestures while talking. Bonus: Get weird looks from people.
55- Shiftless clutching - Vlog without shifting gears.
56- What's your PIN? - Go and pay for fuel.
57- Eagle eye - Name another bike from distance.
58- Mirror mirror - Go past another vehicle and hit their mirror.
59- Broken fingers - Get a real High five from a rider in the opposite direction.
60- Singe your leg hairs - Backfire your bike while stationary
61- Cook that numberplate! - Backfire your bike while in slow-moving or stationary traffic, bonus points for doing it to a tail-gater.
62- HADOEKEN! - Backfire when going at speed limit or more, bonus points for a flame out of your pipe.
63- Al Dente - Include some food preparation in your vlog.
64- Broken thoughts - Have a camera die while making a video.
65- Cell Tower - Wave phone around in a desperate attempt to find reception.
We got 65 already!, let's keep pushing this to 100!
Overlay Logo submissions are appreciated too since we still don't have one.
