Tired of the continual corn-holing by Google!

So my YouTube channel is pretty much fubar. Prior to this last change, I would (sometimes) get a notification via my Yahoo mail of a new upload from folks I am subscribed to. I would then have to click on that upload link, where it would take me to the up-loader's video. I could respond, and that response would show the response from me (XXX526). Now, Google has decided that it should leave my Yahoo identity instead, which I DO NOT want. Also, I am continuously signed out of my YouTube account, so if I want to see my own effin channel I have to sign in every time.

I can't really make a total swap over to GMAIL and it's associated BS because I have 20+ years of legacy data via my Yahoo account. All this is driving me to the point where I am just about ready to say fvck it and drop off the YouTube planet. :( It has become too much work/hassle to try to do anything that used to be so simple.

There was a time not too long ago when I was asked which account I wanted to be signed in when I clicked over to Google. They used to ask me that every time, but now it's finalled remembered my preferences I guess. Hopefully the hassle you're getting is only temporary, because I feel like YouTube changes so often right now that it wouldn't completely be worth it to drop off the YouTube planet. They're bound to improve it some day. But until then, I guess you'll have to get used to signing in every time you want to visit your YouTube.

Just create a youtube gmail account. Link that gmail account to your already existing youtube identity, set up the notifications to be sent to that email and presto. You now got a seperate email for just your channel.
Advantages:
You can let youtube spam you with every single comment, subscribe upload etc to email. Its all going into that bin.
Then you can filter the emails to their own folders (or "tags").
Its cleaner than cluttering your yahoo inbox with thousands of emails.

Problems:
Another login to do?

That's part of the problem. Google "captured" my Yahoo account, so now I do have a GMAIL account, and it shares the same name as my Yahoo account. I don't know when or how all this BS occurred, and I don't have the patience to sort it out. Too many accounts/passwords for my pea brain I guess, I can't keep it all straight. It's further complicated because my workplace recently started using GMAIL. So when I start my computer up, it knocks me out of my personal Google account.

Have you tried linking your accounts so they are switchable between email addresses? No typing involved, just a few clicks and you should be signed into your right account. Unless YouTube really is screwed up for your account for some reason.

I can switch between the GMAIL accounts at work. I'm just at a loss with the Yahoo BS and how to get YouTube to quit looking for me to post to a video via the Google account.
