Some things I have in mind to improve Moto Mengy in 2021:

1. Include some drone footage from time to time!
2. Experiment with shooting the GoPros in non-auto settings and manually color balancing and such. Try some things to improve visual quality.
3. I'm going to make some how-to videos for the Goldwing.
4. I have a few new ideas for video concepts I'll try out, they might fail but I'll enjoy giving it a shot!

Other than that I'll just continue to ride and film and do what I did last year. This nonstop winter trap we're in here in PA needs to end first.

Good goals to have - can't wait to see how it shakes out for ya! Down here in Maryland, we've been stuck in a salty road situation for 3 weeks now, and it's really starting to bug the ever-loving crap outta me! I hear we're gonna get rain next week, so hopefully by next weekend I can get the bike out and go do some riding [and filming!]

I need to get better at improv. My videos tend to have a specific topic for each one and I feel like the better motovlog out there come from people who can roll with the punches better and throw in random jokes and make surprisingly entertaining videos about literally nothing

Amen to that! I feel the same way! Watching some of my earlier videos, I was so wooden in my delivery. With practice I think it gets easier.

My goal is to become a smooth talker. ;-). No really. I think the best thing I can do, is make what I say more interesting and more polished so people don't hit mute.

As a note, glad to see you back, I wondered what happened when I hadn't seen a video for a few months.

Thank you sir.....yeah i ended up swamping the 300rr in a river and ruined the rod and bearings and redid the top end etc while it was cracked open. While I was at it, replaced the plastics, graphics, sprockets, chain, rims and tires as well. Put in Tubliss system as well. I’m gearing up for spring!

It’s winter here right now so I’m thinking about what will i do for season 2 to increase the quality of my vids. So i thought i would ask you all....what will you all do to make your videos better quality this year in 2021 vs 2020?

Second camera angle if you don't have that already for sure.

And audio is more important than video quality, so if you can improve only 1, focus on audio

No changes.. Just keep the bar low and focus on enjoying myself rather than thinking how to please viewers. :)

Amen to that! Keep the fun level high and the rest will follow, I believe!

Wise choice. That is the worst. I find that most of my screen time is tossed because I fear no one wants to hear what I have to say. I need to talk confidently and enjoy doing that and I think that will resonate with viewers.

All of this!!! I can blab and blab and sound great for hours talking with buddies, but press record on the GoPro, and it's all ums and ahs.

In the editor, I throw out a ton of footage because I do the same thing - "Who the hell wants to watch and listen to THIS?"

You can enjoy yourself while filming, and still remove clips and pieces while editing, that isn't a problem.
You can still enjoy yourself while editing and removing those clips.

Be happy with the end results, because you like it, no matter what you removed or didn't removed ;)

Well, along my goal of "improving" ... I got a drone. Buddy of mine sold me his DJI Spark with 4 batteries, controller, charger, and hard case. This thing is slick! I'm just flying it around my house right now, but without line of sight to the drone, just using POV from my phone haha. Flew it up pretty high and around the neighborhood a bit... just a little further each time as I get used to it. I slapped in one of those silly little 32GB SD cards that GoPros ship with and it records pretty nice footage.

I'm looking forward to adding destination drone footage to my vids, when I can ... and of course I filmed my trip to/from getting the drone yesterday, so now I gotta work on that footage LOL.
