I set a goal of 1 video per week personally, just as personal motivation to get out and do it.

Me too, one video per week is what I'm sticking to for now, even though I have 3 edited and ready to go. At some point I might do 2 a week here and there, but I want to take time right now to experiment and try new things with editing, because I'm still learning as I go.

If I can do 52 videos in the first year I'll consider it a personal triumph!

Yeah for sure! I'm learning a lot too, every video I tweak something or edit it different add or remove things.. and even my personality is starting to come through more naturally. There's a lot of room to grow in motovlogging

I find letting my personality come over is one of the most difficult things for me, I just don’t seem to be able to let go and know I would come across far more naturally if I could. Certainly is another growth opportunity.

Too many to quote, but in a short summary - I had hoped that YT "speaking to a invisible audience" would help with public speaking and it has to an extent. I used to cringe at the sound of my own voice and my personality comes across as dry, but now I've gotten used to my own voice and I think that's helping to improve my overall story telling and presentation. Though, I still screw up in my speaking... which I leave in the video to give it more of a human touch, instead of editing the hell out of the video.

Personality, I don't have much of one but still manage to attract some viewers. :p

I feel the same about my videos, makes me sick at the sound of it! I think we are all our own biggest critics

hey is tube buddy useful? what does it offer?

I'm finding Tubebuddy fairly useful. I only paid $18 for a year of it, that was with two discounts for being a small channel plus a coupon I got from another user, so it didn't cost me much (not for the 1st year at least).

It's helped me learn about keywords and tags and such, and it has some nice little features for stats tracking and milestones. In all honesty you can do pretty much the same thing with other free websites or by simply using the Youtube search window, but having Tubebuddy simplifies it I suppose.

I'm glad I got it, we'll see if I pay to renew it after my first year.
