YouTube commenting issue

I just started getting a "failed to post comment" error when commenting. I'm on the youtube app on my phone, havent been able to get on my computer at home to try in browser as I'm at work. Anybody know what causes this?

I restarted my phone and force stopped it and that seemed to resolve the issue

Comments are freaky anyways.
Some don't give a notification.
Some are stuck as "to judge", which you can't see for some reason >.<

I recently stopped getting almost all notifications of comments via email and browser notices in YouTube.
(The app seems to get them, but I spend more time on my desktop than the phone)

And yeah, I've checked Notification settings a few times now. Strange.

Almost like they are forcing us to use Youtube Studio, just to check on the comments

Annoyingly, even YouTube Studio doesn't show you all comments or replies.
I periodically go into each video and physically check each post to see if they have new comments on them.

I've also started doing this lately, fine for my handful of comments. Imagine it becomes a nightmare when you are popular

I do very much wish YouTube would give us an option of notifying for all new comments/replies, so that when it got too much we could tone it down, but while we are building, like the majority of us here are, it allowed us to see them easier!

I dont even understand what Youtubes criteria is for which comments to notify you of. Sometimes just seems random.

I'm so dumb. I figured out what this was after I read your post. I completely glazed over this since I always focus on the videos tab most of the time. Found a bunch of comments that A) I had not seen and B) Some good comments were stuck in the spam filter.

YT comments have always been buggy.. I'm pretty sure I've missed out on some comments but I can't be combing through everything to search for the missing ones.. I guess it's fate if your comment gets lost or not.. Hahahaha..

Not an issue I've had but sometimes I'll type out a comment and hit post and it just spins but if I go to the video on another device the comment appears
