Am so hoping the rumours are true, I think the current Triumph SpeedTriple 1050 is an amazing bike, but if they went back to the round headlights and gave it even more grunt... Yes Please! :D

I've also heard that they'll increase the CC, apparently to meat Euro 5 emissions or something. It tickles my fancy as well!

Aye, someone suggested on a comment elsewhere that although power will increase, torque may drop... not sure if that makes any sense to me though unless it was the same cc

Nah I think maybe HP drops, but torque will increase. I had 2 Hypermotards, one Euro 3 and the other Euro 4, same HP, 15% more torque, 118 more CC's. Not to say its the same thing, but usually when bikes go up the Euro emissions train, they get more torque .

The rumours are that the power will be going up to around 165bhp

I very nearly bought a 2019 model, but was put off by the lack of luggage options, and given I tour occasionally this has to be an option. Yes universal luggage can be used... if you like rubbed paint and ruining developed style lines etc lol.

They are some beasts, just want to go go go. The advantage of the blipper, quikshifter, colour adjustable TFT screen cannot be understated, im actually having to convince myself why I didn't buy one now lol

Aye, the naked bikes are not ideal for luggage options, if I can't bungee it to the bike I'll strap it to my rucksack! :D

Bungees are an answer... cable ties and gaffer tape are a solution! :D

The saying "if it doesnt fit in the backpack, its not coming with" comes to mind.

Hahaha... Yeah normally I'm a fan of travelling light but with the changeable weather that I have had on tours so far... A backpack just ain't going to cut it.
