The new Harley Davidson FXDR

So HD unveiled the new FXDR today.

I love the look of it even though it could do with a tail tidy and some other bits.. I do like it haha!

I think they should have used the 1250 revolution motor in it but hey M8s are all the rage now!

What do you guys think?

Terrible.
21k USD so a young rider out of college can't afford it. No back seat so good luck justifying it to a wife.

4.4 gallons? Not much there.

Better off with this instead... they tried to emulate the lines at least...

How about they charge 11 or 12 USD and then the young bucks can saddleup?

Just my take on it.

Honestly I was all about it at first but that 21k price tag seems kinda ridiculous. It seems like they took a V-Rod and a FXD and thought OH LETS PUT THEM TOGETHER.
Both bikes were popular and consumers voiced their outrage when they discontinued them but this is amalgamation
Also it looks uncomfortable and I hate the turn signals lol.
I love Harley but I kinda hope this high price point slaps them in the face, you know...so they can gauge their consumers a little better and offer something that makes more sense.

Matt Laidlaw has the 2019 MY dealer show on YouTube. So H-D is going to sell an "attachment" to be bolted on to spot under the rear panel.

Can anyone say "Rocker"?

Correction. According to a video from Matt Laidlaw where he had the chief engineer walkthrough the bike. Seems the add on for the passenger seat is just a snap in pad - about $209 USD and then the rear mounting pegs kit are around 114 USD.

@scottrod the engineer did not the front lower cowl is a nod to the V-Rod.

Yeah I agree with all above!

I think with a tail tidy, different filter set uo and an exhaust this thing "could" be cool.

I wouldnt swap my rod for one and it wont be my next bike.

I was up in PA this weekend with my kids for Sesame Place but made a stop over at Brian's Harley Davidson.
Got a chance to look at the bike, didn't sit on it since folks were rotating in and out for test rides.
The service tech showed me, the back panel pops off just like a sport bike. $209USD for a pop-in pad is ridiculous.
The guy getting off the bike when I arrived said he hated it and is sticking to his V-Rod lol.

I'm not a fan. It just looks silly and plastic to me. It looks like its worth as much as a Street 750 not a Road King. No one wants to pay 21,000 grand for an even worse looking Yamaha VMAX ($18,000). At least with the VMAX or the Street 750 you can ride away from the dealer and try and pick up chicks or dudes, riders preference.
