Toma Rider
Hailing from Japan
like occasionally doing non-moto-related stuff or trying to start a new series?
Mmm I think it's graduated a little from niche, there's some big names out there now. And motorcycles are super popular around the world! I'm in Japan so I'm gonna try exploring some venues in that genre on top of motovlogging. Wish me luck lolTired it, doing channel reviews, was still relevant to motovlogging though as its been motovloggers that I've been reviewing.
Thinking of canning it as it's going nowhere, and just concentrating on proper motorcycle content.
Given the small niche that motovlogging is trying to start something within that is a waste of time. Just start another channel if it's not motorcycle related.
I have a separate channel for stuff not related to motorbikes... Keeps the audience relatable![]()
I wouldn't even go that route really.
I mean organizing into playlists is a fantastic idea, but unless you are branded as a motovlog channel, why pigeon-hole yourself?
My channel revolves around my interests, mainly motorcycling, a local fireworks display, which is worth checking out. Everyone I mention these to laughs at what kind of piddly little fireworks display my little city of 235,000 people could have. Though, in fairness, it's between us and Detroit, Michigan (who was actually bankrupt a couple years ago). Fact is, it's one of the largest displays in the world and it's fantastic.
I also had a "pinvlog" which revolved around a pinball game who's forum I was one of the first members of, and would like to get back into that.
I also started doing on-ride vids of roller coasters and flat rides. Have done most of Canada's Wonderland, and have my sights set on Cedar Point, King's Island, King's Dominion, and La Ronde in Montreal.
One of the reasons I went with Superballs' Supervids (I know it's a dumb name but it stays) is because I didn't want to lock myself out of something with a name that doesn't make sense for my content.
I'm starting to feel like motovlogs just aren't enough for a full channel, so I'm also going to begin just making playlists and see what people like. I guess I'll run with whatever is the most successful?
I know for certain that I will never be a huge motovlog star. I just can't debase myself to the point that a lot of the popular vloggers do, as far as creating traffic drama and the silly "vlogger beefs" and call-outs.
I just like to give my point of view on things, whether important or trivial. And I'm working on my editing chops as well, and I always try and add something to my videos that forces me to learn some aspect of the software I'm using
Traffic Drama ain't the word!! Half of the Drama I watch is them creating the drama and half of it is them reacting poorly to other peoples errors....
Not a good example for new riders....
Guess you on about JakeTheGardenSnake.... I love his Paramotor vids, huge balls that man!I would say it really depends on what your wanting to branch off into to. If you talking about riding your bike and just talking about stuff that has nothing to do with bikes its still motovlogging. Now if you are talking about doing other things (Paragliding lol) then hell if you have the fan base and they like what you do then your golden, if not just put up another channel to grab people that are just interested in that stuff. But keep in mind your doing this to have fun and enjoy yourself not to cater to everyone else.
Yeah him and Dan.. which i watch both of them anyway. but it is funny how there are a few of the bigger YTer's branching out to other things. Or some have jsut slowed down. Or you got one that put out a vid saying that there is nothing new people can do for motovlogging its already out there... Which is funny if you know the back story of why he thinks this. lol
