I don't wanna go full geek so I'll bullet point

  • The sites running a bit slower than I'd like
  • I'm having a tidy up
  • Some pages on the site are showing as non-secure due to peoples signatures etc

So my solutions are

  • Ask you all really nicely to make sure you use HTTPS when adding links to your channels/sites
  • Keep asking and 90% of you won't
  • Delete the lot, including mine which will force you to update anyway ;)
I've chosen the last option because it's easier for me and it also does this:

  • Removes website links to people who don't come here anymore
  • Gets rid of mentions to dead websites blah blah
  • Kinda kickstarts the forum a tab more because you'll need like 5 posts before you can update it again

So - If you've noticed your signature has gone... Just fix it ;)

Isn't there an option in your admin settings to only accept https links when users are entering links in their siggies? i.e. make the prefix https fixed and cannot be altered. Much better than asking nicely. :)

I could do that but I don't want the site to point to dead sites etc anyway.

It's housekeeping
