Recently some of us had a discussion about a big vlogger's video concerning some things including his shrinking income from vlogging. It got me thinking, riders come from all walks of life so what is a typical motovlogger's day job?

I will put mine out there:

Bureaucratic wage slave stuck in a cube farm. Luckily I get to work cool hours and have enough time in that I can take some good vacations!

How about you?

For the past 3 years I worked for a logistics company that coordinates moves for military members and their families when they have to relocate to a different base. Buuuut I just put my two weeks in on Thursday and will be starting at a company doing social media and marketing for them. It'll be a lot more fun for me. Little less money, but I'm hoping there is room to grow.

To pay the bills, I write software documentation that nobody ever reads. On the side, I dabble in automotive journalism.

I've occasionally been published on Jalopnik and The Truth About Cars. I'm motovlogging as a separate thing, just for fun, but it's teaching me a lot about video that I can start incorporating into my other work.

I met someone from Right Foot Down at a drifting event at some point. Can't remember which one, but I remember that name!

My business partner and I run a small company called 'ZDepth'.
I do all the artsy fartsy stuff

(Its a bit old because we've been too busy to make an updated one :D)

I picked the music the instant it started...... love Lindsey's stuff. It is great for clearing the mind.

That's some pretty cool stuff you can do........ gonna check out your channel later.

Me my career is based in IT Support, mainly applications and systems recently.
I can be a bit OCD sometimes with things not being exactly right with stuff I do for my work.
Or maybe it is that I put so much effort into my work I like to see it done right so it doesn't need to be done again.

Just finished up on Monday with my last position with the government though, so am on the look out.

I currently work at a University running a mini-market when classes are in session. During school breaks, when the market is closed, I work in the kitchen of a different commons.
The benefit (besides Insurance and such) is that I can take two courses a semester for free. I also get about 9 weeks off in the summer (unpaid) to do... whatever.

My previous job experience is rather more interesting. I have done everything from working on a lobster boat and digging worms out on the salt flats to working at a hospital in data entry and as a phlebotomist/lab assistant.

Other past notables:

Handyman

Landscaper

Finish carpenter/Furniture maker

Construction/Demolition laborer

Mail Carrier for U.S. Postal Service

Course staff and Photographer (Outdoor Adventure Ropes Course)

Student Computer Tech (as a student at University)

Grocery clerk, Gas station Clerk, Video store Clerk, Retail store Clerk

Fast food ‘clerk’ and “shift leader”

Restaurant Kitchen Staff

Line worker for L.L.Bean (Seasonal/Holiday)

I'm about 2 weeks into my new job and I absolutely love it. I've been mainly working on the company's new blog, but will be moving into social media and content creation as time goes on. Super laid back environment and I love going into work every single day.
