Wait So How Do You Get Started?

The guy who rides in red
Hey guys, recently been considering motovlogging. I know I know, I've spoken about it earlier but I had an accident which took some healing to do. Anyways, I'm not doing it for the money, no. I wanna meet new people, make friends and get to show my perspective of the world to others (I'm from the US but I don't live in US right now so there's tons of stuff to whitness here).

Question is, how do I get any followers? You know 5-10 people even are enough for me to think of a new video to do whereas 0 subs just gets you the inner voice going "quit it, nobody cares! QUITEEEEEET"

Tips are welcome.

Also, if you sub I sub back. Links are in my sig

Well, if you really are witnessing unique stuff, then capture it on camera. Your profile makes me wonder if you ever experienced folks showing home movies or slideshows. Those were not made for subs but to share with others.

Then as you meet fellow expats or riders, you can show them the footage of that great ride or whatever. Plus you can relive the experience when you are not riding.

Just my thoughts.

Gotcha, my initial issue is that I ride in a country that has no vloggers at all. I see some crazy shit on the streets daily. I haven't posted any thing from these shots yet as I'm waiting for the action cam to arrive (I got all sorts of DSLRs though for now) and am asking this so that I can make a good plan on how I should introduce myself. My main issue is, how do I get out there and present my content to people who might be interested.

Well, what drew you to moving there from the US? Maybe there are others thinking of going there as well so you could start off with maybe a short video like, "What to know about Armenian (insert topic) before you arrive." Then maybe integrate your bike into the vlog as a method from point a to b as well as transition and discussion.

Then maybe someone will hit on the videos while researching before their trip.

that's a good idea! Damn didn't think about that! Gonna take notes :D ahaha

As soon as you publish something, PM me! I like seeing others points of view from around the world.
Will do, I'm also considering doing something like Casey Neistat. Might not be a full on motovlog with a guy on the motorcycle all the time, but then again that'll be something fresh.

Meh, find your own voice.

I checked out a motovlogger, Swiss Motard, recently that was good on touring and pointing things out. Then there is one rider on here from Belgium that had a good video tour of an abandoned town.

Do what you find natural to do, be it actual motovlogging or otherwise.
My motivation, even though I have a minimum of actual subs and views is to not only document my thoughts and stuff. But also to showcase Norway and be the only Norwegian motovlogger that speaks English afaik.

But yeah, golden rule of youtubing: "Do it for the fun, not for the fame"

I'm right there with you. I know it takes a lot of time to build a channel up. I've done it with other projects, but this one is rolling pretty slow. Best advice I can give is try to keep the content fresh and interesting. Post wherever you can, use social media and hashtags to your advantage. Little by little we'll all get there.

Guess so! This is a pretty slow buildup all together. Hell even my friends haven't subscribed to the channel yet (lol). I'm happy to return a subscribe by the way ;)

here's an embarassing question: how do I edit my signature in this forum? I can't find an edit button :/

I appreciate it!

To edit your signature mouseover your name in the top right corner next to inbox and your settings should all be right there.

Gotto add that there is some demands you have to meet to be able to post comments, at least 5 posts in regular forums per week or something. Same as in the "post yer vids" section.
