I'm pretty sure it's not youth culture. But I agree that overuse of profanity is unnecessary. I find it monotonous to be honest

My biggest problem with foul language is that most of the time I'm watching YouTube someone else is in the same room and it means I have to use earphones as its not fair to let kids listen to f-this and f-that.
Having said that I was playing Black Ops with my youngest last weekend and one of the other players had a microphone and the language from them was terrible. We ended up finishing the game with the sound turned off on the tv.

Understandably so. It is the case that we need to try our keep profanity from young ears. On the other hand, people have the right to say what they please. Unfortunately, some couldn't be bothered to be considerate of others.
As with my YT channel, I don't filter it at all. I prefer to showing my viewers the person I am, profanity and all. I have however, started toning down the swearing a little bit

I sort of agree on the profanity thing, Not a fan of listening to it all the time. And other medias have had profanity filters for a long time already. The rule is a bit extreme though.
I don't get the part about violence and gore tho, while its not always something I want to see, it's something that makes up a lot of the world news.
The rest is also a subjective matter from Youtube's side.
Anyway, most of this can't be detected accurately via bots, so with the amount of content being uploaded, they won't be able to catch everything.

I am thinking we need a parody video where everything goes wrong on a simple bike ride. Queue the fake blood from simple injuries and people cursing up a storm (beeped out) over very insignificant setbacks.

Why not have a box you have to tick for profanity so YT can filter out vids with language from those who don't want to hear it?
Like on DVD packaging. Contains occasional bad language/excessive bad language. Gives people more choice in whether to watch and allows people to be themselves with vids.

YT has changed to new TOS it hurting a lot of different channel! from Troll to Gamers to just about every one! My suggestion is to start a patron account and get your people to support you over there and then you can not even deal the the new bs form them and stop running ads on videos and the YT the Finger
