Network Of One

[ UPDATE ]

Waiting on payment via Paypal, it is going to take about 21 days or less, by the 29th I should have the moo-lah in the account since I signed it on the 8th.

Will update when I have more.

[ UPDATE ]

Thanks for checking with me! Our management and payments team have been engaging in a very big restructuring. There's been a lot of channels that have tried to defraud our company, so there's lots of audits going on to make sure we don't invest in bad content.

As of this moment, the only thing I can guarantee is that you WILL get payment when this restructuring completes. Since it has been 21 days, you also have the option to cancel the transaction at any time if you feel that you want to try to get these videos a deal with another company. However, if the status quo works for you, I would suggest waiting a little longer until you get payment. Until you get paid, our company doesn't do anything on the ad space of those videos.

In any case, let me know what you think. Thanks!

So payment is not coming through at the moment, I can now either decide to terminate the contract, or just sit and wait a while more. As it stands, the videos are still monetized by myself and No1 did not "take" anything.

I'm tempted to just sit and wait a while since nothing (to me) is effected.

What do you guys think?

Sit it out! Hari Raya is around the corner, who knows you might get a lucky 'green ang bao'!

Is there a cut off before you can change your mind?

I know a London agency that pays 2 days later than the threshold on purpose, and far less as they discover an issue like you've brought views etc aka you get tied and paid less

Technically I can cancel on the contract since it's already been more than the time period stated (21 days), according to the No1 guy they will pay out once they have sorted the issues he mentioned, I have responded asking what the estimated/expected time for that, will see what he says.
They should have had enough time in that 21 days to check/investigate on the channel status/standing but I'm not worried about that since I do none of the hanky-panky stuff, but if it's true as what you said and they decide to pay less, I should be able to decline them since that would be a different term than what was initially offered.
I shall keep this thread updated as and when I get any update/feedback.
:)

I had issues with rightseer before - They decided to copyright claim all of my videos and all sorts. More so that I was only asking them questions after they approached me and I said 'That does sound good' and as soon as I said that, they said I was in a contract with them lol

Proper dodgy some of these companies.

[ UPDATE ]

After a longer than expected wait due to some audits going on in their company, they finally came through with the payment. With this I conclude this thread, just to share and in case anyone wanted to know more about this Network of One company.

Yeah, the beauty of this is that none of your other videos which were not part of the deal, are impacted in any way, and your channel is not tied to any single one Network like some of the others. Only those videos they bought are handled by them, but still under your channel, you get your views and subs (if any), just no monetization.

No problemo.. Get your butt to Malaysia Dan, drinks are on me. ;)

This is awesome! I'll be expecting my green packet from you to arrive within the next few days.

This was very interesting to read. Just went through the whole thread, to see how it all played out. Happy that it worked out for you. Let's see that z125!

[ UPDATE ]

Just thought I'd share what happens after you get the payment. No1 will then make a claim onto your video(s), monetization will be disabled. You will also get the usual copyright claim email(s) from YouTube. Below is an example.

I'm still breaking in the mini Z, very suffering break-in to do, going so slow (below 100km/h), LoL. After that I shall share some videos of it. Here's a picture of it. :)

If the videos are not in your list anymore, where do I view them then?

If there going to pay that, they are going to promote them videos, you will pick up new subscribers, and end up with more ££££ in your pocket in the long run. Thats a nice bit of ££££ to earn, depending how many movies they want i would go for it.
