Network Of One

[ UPDATE ]

I guess what he said makes sense, and I cannot predict if those videos will continue or sustain the views down the road. The only "pro" point (apart from the cash) is that the video is technically still mine, I still get the view count, just not able to monetize them anymore.

I've sent another email with a couple more questions and will see the response on that.

What are your thoughts?

do you still make money off the videos?
Your question is answered in the attachment.

They probably think that's a group of 4 that would draw a high volume of audiences, so they can make the most return with it. Have they sent you a contract? If so buddy, I don't know what's available in the USA similar to the UK's citizen advice. Maybe run it past a contract lawyer?
I don't really see where's the contract, all I have is that link to the page with the offer and videos (see previous post), I haven't clicked to go further on that page.

I wonder if they will be suggesting the videos from other videos they own. It could be a good thing and bring more traffic to other videos. It also could be bad and the videos make way more then they are giving you over time. You can just never know. Did you check the projection of your channel on the site he talked about to even see if they are low balling you?

As long as the page has all the information and points listed on it, along with an accept and reject clause. That is the contract.

Contracts don't have to be a piece of paper as long as it has the Terms of Agreement, and explicit acceptance or rejection on it.

Hell, even emails can be construed as a contract.

The ads they will put are the ones within the video, like what you would see in the YouTube videos that are monetized.
I did a brief count on the videos they were quoting and I can see it will take quite a long time for all of them combined to actually pull in the amount they are offering up front.

Assuming all 4 videos combined yields USD 40 per month (this is probably not accurate as older videos tend to start losing views, etc), a year will reap in USD 480, so hitting USD 2.75k will be years, I think provided it ALWAYS gets at least 40 a month till the end of time.

This is looking promising, and a couple of videos, I can probably re-shoot them as a separate video, my friend still has his bike. Hmm.

I asked him about that, I have to click further in the offer to get to the purchase agreement.

i agree. if they were willing to up the offer this quick im sure they are open to negotiations. Hit them with $3500 and see what happens man.

It's been a while since I last updated this thread, all the while it's been a back and forth between multiple No1 agents, one of them gave a really shitty deal for like 29 videos for below 3000 USD, I guess she was thinking I would be easily duped.

Anyways, the deal with Scott didn't fall through after he suddenly went all silent, since then I had been dealing with another guy, Jerry, and I finally decided to bite the bullet and go for it.

Awaiting payment to be processed. Planning to use the monies to invest on a Z125 Pro pit bike, hopefully can shoot some fun videos with that one.
