Do You Ever....

Do you ever go out and record and when you get home and look back at what you recorded think to yourself about how terrible it was.... Yupp just happened! Do you upload something that you dont like just to upload or do you wait for another day to record? Its not bad bad but not great either! What to do my friends....

felt this recently.
I recorded a bit while driving home in my car the other day, in order to "reveal" my vlog plans and whatnot, as well as being the first time I ever recorded myself like that.
When I got back to it, I realize I sound like I'm trying too hard and making voices, leaving me with an act filled with bad English and inconsistency.

I haven't decided if I'm going to upload it yet. I kinda hate my voice in it, common problem I'm sure.

Ok ok! Ya I would think most people do such things. But I came to the conclusion that it isn't as bad as i think it is, so im just going to edit and make it happen! The way i see it is if there are 7 billion people out there, at least a couple should watch and find it somewhat amusing!
That being said you should just send your video up to the interwebs and see what everyone thinks!

Yeah I'm going to give it another shot of editing first, I mean, I'm quite familiar with learning curves from my art. Vlogging is the same. Starting from scratch and working my way into proficiency.

Yep. My rule is if I can't watch it to the end then I don't expect others to as well.

I aim for a weekly release. So I tend to record a couple of subjects a week and pick the best. When I'm really stuck I stick some footage together that's too short for a vlog.

It happens all the time. Although I think I'm more critical of my own work than other people are.

Most of the time I work on something new, and I think it's pretty good after it's finished, and others feel it's okay, not bad. But a few weeks later when I go back to watch it again a few more times, I get this glaring feeling that it's not really good after all and start to point out mistakes and the bad parts.

But that's how people improve really. Nothing wrong with it, better to just do it and say it sucks later than to never have done for fear of it being bad.

I usually give my content the benefit of the doubt and at least start editing it, if I find myself board while editing it then, I'll try again late if the 2nd attempt doesn't work, I'll scrap it & as lupin said if I can't watch it to the end I go back and change it or scrap it.

I nearly completely edited out a part of my latest video because I talk in a high pitched voice and I thought it was a bit obnoxious for YouTube then I realised that that high voice is something I do in real life and is part of my personality so I stuck it right at the start!

Most of the time my vlogs make it into the editing stage. I feel like I can "salvage" most sub-par vlogs with decent editing, but not all have made it. Sometimes when I feel too strongly opinionated (or not strongly enough) about a subject I will ramble on and not say anything meaningful. These vlogs get scrapped. It happens
