Possible Youtube Scam...definitely Spam

But they earn (almost) nothing, and get the wrath of the channel owner dissing on them and giving them bad rep.. I'd say that's not very wise for the Network.

I am looking to just understand more about what these Networks are, do, function, etc for my own knowledge, not just about the dollar and cents. Not sure how they prevent great losses or be anything close to like an insurance company.

They earn little to nearly nothing. But it always ends up in a profit because the cost is also always nothing. It doesn't matter if they get bad rep from the smaller channels, because it doesn't affect them much either, small channels have little to no power here, and big channels will stay with them regardless anyway unless another network makes a better offer.

The Networks in a sense basically just act like a content host, basically a knock-off/derived Youtube in some ways. When you sign with them, you are now under their wing, any copyright strike or content strike won't affect you (much), because they will take the hit for you for that. But the revenue will now also go through them, and they are the ones paying you now, instead of Google.

They might only earn a couple of dollars or cents from each channel, get enough to sign up, and it soon starts adding up.

My most recent email was from Rumble.com, went to the site to poke around see, couldn't find out much, so was thinking of any outside source (not related to any Network) that explains clearly what it's all about.
If you Google "best youtube partner networks" a ton of stuff pops up, but most of them seem to be gaming channels. There's also 2 videos at the top, but I didn't check those out.

I think the over saturation of motovloggers really comes from the US IMO, since I believe that was where the whole thing became popular first. And now you have a million American Joes with a crotch rocket and a camera, but all of them draw from the same cultural background to entertain with, so there is not enough variety to go around, especially when a lot of them just have one camera and one bike and one computer with no budget or corporate support to branch out into other things.

But it can still be an interesting genre with variety, just that maybe we need to start looking towards motovloggers in emerging communities like we have one from Iraq, a couple from Indonesia, and other SEA countries. Maybe it is interesting to hear what life is like as a rider in other countries, instead of Americans watching other American motovloggers talk about the same thing that they already knew a long time ago?
That's exactly why I unsubbed from the majority of the American vloggers. It's just 3 or 4 big channels, and then everyone seems to piggyback off of them without any original thoughts. That, and all the infighting that seems to happen when one small channel so much as mentions a big channel. Guys like Jake have an army of angry 12 year olds who don't know jack shit about motorcycles, but they have no problem trolling a smaller channel who talks about him.

It's a bubble that's going to burst since more and more people are using an ad block program with their browser, and ads are where the real money comes from. If YouTube does what Hulu and a lot of other sites have done by disabling ad block software, a lot of channels won't be making anything.

*didn't read this whole thread*

I got a message from them as well.
They're locking you in a vicious contract, I wouldn't go for this

I didn't even bother responding. My schedule is crazy and I can't always put out videos as much as I'd like. That, and the message they send is just copy and pasted. There's nothing personal about it, so fuck that. If they had said something referencing one of my videos, I might have responded, but they didn't. Vlogs are more like therapy for me. Making money would be nice, but oh well.
