Keeping Subscriptions Private On Yt?

Ramblin'Rider on YT
I have had this tab clicked for a while, Im not sure how I feel about people being able to view my whole subscription list because it's not just motovloggers... but I do want people who I sub to to see that I am sub'd!

Can anyone confirm that this only blocks people from viewing your entire sub list? Or it blocks people from seeing I am sub'd. If you wanna test it out I will sub to you to test heheh :)

Thanks for the help!!

Keeps who you are subscribed to private. So nobody knows you are subbed to them.

Thanks dude! I think I am being silly now to care who see who I'm sub'd to, at first it was because of some gun channels im sub'd to but screw it people will find out I enjoy shooting eventually..I live in the South! I just wanted to avoid any politics or touchy subjects for a while..but am now realizing how many people are really gonna look at the list of who I am sub'd to lol

So now when I unclick I wonder if I will show up in everyone's subscription list who I have already sub'd to on only future people I sub to?

Thanks again dude!

I guess you can show people you are sub'd to them but hide the total list of who you are sub'd to because motonosity sub'd to me and I went to check his list but it only shows his recommended channels....anyway i unclicked anyway

I was concerned at one atage as I sub to lots of random stuff. But if someone's picky enough to go through my sub list and unsub or not sub because of it, then they probably arent worth having anyway and good on them for wasting their time lol.

Yeah thats kinda what I realized heheh - but i guess when you get to a certain size you can make it so people see that you sub'd but then they can't look at your whole list...

I tend to worry about things i shouldn't care about hheeh :D

I keep my subs private. I set it that way since day one. However, I believe it is just private on your own channel page display, meaning if people view your channel/profile, they won't know what other channels you are subbed to.

Channels that you are subscribed to can still see you are subbed in their channel's sub list.

i.e. - Your channel is 123. If your privacy setting is set to "Keep all my subscriptions private" and you are subbed to channel ABC, people viewing your own channel 123 or your profile, won't see that you are subbed to ABC. However, the owner of channel ABC can see you as a sub in the ABC sub list.

Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Yes, if you have your subscriptions hidden the people you subscribe to won't be able to see you on their subscriptions list.

Under the Subscriptions page it says "Only subscribers who share their subscriptions publicly are shown." that's for the list of people who are subscribed to you.

+1

I also keep mine private for a few reasons. People I'm subbed to know I watch their videos because I comment on every one I watch. I'm sure huge subscribers won't go through their sub lists very often anyway

I'm subbed to all sorts of people, including a couple of firearms-related channels and it hasn't hurt me as far as I know. I know Jake and some other guys have shooting vids on their motovlog channels (they're from Texas, like me) and it doesn't hurt them to any measurable degree. I haven't done any shooting vids, because I don't think my subscribers would find it too interesting.

This summer I'm going to start work on a gun project. I plan to customize a .44 Magnum revolver in the style of the "Mysterious Magnum" from Fallout New Vegas and I will make some vids chronicling that, because a lot of people love FNV and it will just be interesting to document the progress.

I would like to see a series on that! I'd say put the video up and if people want to watch they will and if not they won't (or they will and then complain lol) but it's your channel. Only thing I'd say is put the gun videos up in addition to motovlogs, don't replace your Wednesday motovlog with a gun video etc. (if you work on a schedule)

agreed! I was thinking of shooting random stuff in the woods like jake was doing on his "dual vlog" with dan on the phone haha

but that is why I was concerned..but I am starting to be more comfortable just putting out what I want! Like my next vid I am finishing now is basically just me sitting on my bike watching this helicopter trim trees near power lines lol I found it amazingly interesting but for a moment I wasn't gonna post it...but then I decided stuff it ill do what I want on my channel :) Thanks guys!!

I love gun stuff. Don't get too caught up in the MOTO part of motovlogging. It's still vlogging, it's your channel and it's about you. If you like riding your bike in the woods and then shooting a few cans while your out there, go for it!

Yeah, I save motovlogs for Wednesdays. Other stuff, I usually put out whenever it happens, which is usually on a weekend.

It will take a while for the gun to get done and a lot of the process requires money so those vids will be more sporadic. First I have to acquire the gun, either a S&W Model 629 (like the original in the game) or a Ruger Redhawk, which has a similar appearance but is a more durable weapon. Then there will be custom sights, trigger job, hybra porting and crown on the barrel, custom grips, and then the engraving work, which will cost about as much as the gun itself! It will probably take a year or so to do. Maybe some trips to the range in between to shoot it.

I like your style! :D heheh

No vlog can ever be bad if guns are involved. Why? Cause Murca. No really, your channel your content. Show others what you enjoy....I definitely agree it doesn't always have to be moto related.
