Electric Motorcycles

Silent electric bikes are dangerous. Loud pipes on bikes save lives. No one will know your there and drivers like to be oblivious to us as it is. The green idea for electric vehicles is great and all, expect for the coal they burnt to power it and the toxic, non recyclable battery you need to keep replacing. There needs to be a lot more done in tech to warrant the electric vehicle movement just yet as a means to safe the Earth.

Honestly, loud pipes are just as irrelevant to driver awareness as having no sound.

If a driver isn't going to pay attention, he ain't going to pay attention to your screaming eagle either.

On another note. If everyone had loud pipes, it just becomes normal to have loud exhausts, and nobody will care eventually either.

Loud pipes CAN help let people know you're there. Use them as a substitute for caution and observation, and that's when it'll come bite you in the ass.

But so can a loud @ss Misthorn, and people seem to react to the latter even more ;)

Yeap, people tend to forget no matter how loud your pipes are. The sound is directed backwards to people you don't really need to be alerting anyway. While good quality air horns are directed forwards where you actually want people to notice you and prevent SMIDSY's.

Also air horns are controlled sounds, pipes are not. Loud pipes are basically a "Fuck you" to the people around you, that you don't care and don't respect how it affects people.

I'd rather hook my bike up to a train horn with saddlebags filled with canisters of compressed air than buy a pipe loud enough to annoy people.

And now i know how i'm going to use the empty "tank" bag on the zero.
Fill it with canisters :)

Love it :) I will have the Loudest bike in the region, and it is electric lol

Which Zero?

And you liked it?
yeah. I really did. I expected it to feel like a golf cart, but I was totally wrong. It felt like a motorcycle.

the only weird thing was the lack of a gear shifter, but it did "engine braking" just like a bike does, which really clinched it for me. (regen braking)

I rode the standard DS. I couldn't get it to wheelie, though. I think the DS-R/the faster models will do it, though.

I think the technology isnt quite there yet! And you cant be a hooligan with stoppies and wheelies like you can on a gas bike!

You might be wrong there.
I have seen wheelies on the FX.
Stoppies on FX and SR
and burnout on the FX, SR, DS and S.

And who says that is needed to be a hooligan anyway xD

I didn't miss the clutch to be honest.
Love the "engine braking" although it was limited on the ones we tried.
In the custom setting you can alter it and make it more or less strongen, which sounds like a great option.

Wheeling seems a bit more difficult but have seen it on the FX and the SR.
I guess the DS-R would be able to as well.

YEAH! It worked! sorry this was my first vlog.... quality is crap I know...

Love your reactions xD
It kinda does sound like a ufo, now you mention it.

The full power is even bigger in the SR and the FX.
Had way too much fun on the FX ;)

And the "failed" review of the Zero Fx

That bike was just way to much fun to be able to do a serious review on it.

Might give a second chance this year, to compare it to the new Zero Fxs
