Nitrogen Inflation, Tell It Like It Is The Aussie Way

Isnt air made of nitrogen anyway?
About ~80% nitrogen and ~20% oxygen

Nitrogen doesn't change much pressure with temperature differences but I don't think I would pay any extra for 100% nitrogen. My bicycle hand pump gets the job done.

Yeh i think people who are into all that hype are bellends tbh if you keep your tyre topped up at the right pressure regular theres nothing really that different surly

Now this is a true story.

I once told an apprentice I had working for me to rotate the air in the tires. He came back and said to me he didn't need to because it had nitrogen instead of air.

I then said he better be careful when he took the wheels of that they didn't float away. I then seen him take a wheel off and sit on it to keep it down.

He didn't make it as a mechanic.

I got offered it once. I politely declined. I think the most worrying point our straight talking Aussie friend made was that people are using it as a substitute for regular inspection of their vehicle.

I have a pocket pressure gauge, bike gets checked most days that I use it, no more than 3 days if using the bike regularly and the car gets checked weekly.

You say that but I remember watching a video a little while back where they tested this and the temperature difference in a tyre filled with pure Nitrogen was actually more than one filled with normal air.

Good video. Marketing at its best, some people really stand by it though, only thing I could think of is that they may be checking the pressure at the tyre shop with a better gauge. Some servo, specially the automated ones are wrong, hook it up after doing some air and it will show a different result. Where I use my own and fill at home and never have any dramas, servos are just for on the road top ups.
