What Kind Of Youtube Ads Annoy You More?

All this time I've mostly been using banner ads instead of skippable ones because I thought skippable ads would annoy people.

But I'm starting to wonder if there are people who would rather watch the skippable ad and not have a fucking banner covering half the screen.

Of course that is if we're talking about honest to god people that support content creators, I don't mind those that ad-block.

Skippable ads are why people started using adblockers in the first place, that and pop-ups. I don't give a shit about banner ads, they're everywhere anyway. And those small overlay ads are ok too. But skippable ads the worst. Even if they were only one second long, it would still be one second too long.

Hah, guess I was right in not using skippable ads all along!

Too bad overlay ads don't appear on mobile.

*ads load perfectly in full hd quality instantly, takes hours to load the actual video in 360p*
WTF

Funny that isn't it :)

I was watching some MCN vids, and noticed that lots of 30s ads are coming up with no skip. If there are to be ads, I don't want to be forced to watch that long, 10s max, otherwise it should be skippable IMO. It's YouTube, not TV.

When you set ads you have choices, banner, overlay and skippable I think, so how do non-skippable ads end up on videos? They've come up on mine, and I'd rather not have that long an ad forced on my viewers.

Really? Do non-skippable ones appear? I only use overlaid banners and avoid skippable pre-video ads and it hasn't popped on mine so far whenever I watch my own vid for QC.

Make your video long enough you get ad breaks in it at random times, even mid-sentence...

30-60 minutes, although it seems to be mainly on the bigger commercial type channels. Not that any of us do much over 10 minutes as a loose rule.

I believe when you monetize your video, youtube put the non skippable ones on by default and this can't be changed unfortunately :( they dont get played that often though!

How long are we talking? Have I mentioned I hate those bloody ads?
I'm planning on shifting away from depending on ads, and starting to depend on sales of merchandise to make money.

My girlfriend's an artist and I could probably set up a RedBubble and hope people buy my T-shirts and stickers so I don't need ads.

Yea, but first you need a fanbase lol.

Would you want to wear a T-shirt with a cartoon of me on it?

yeah thats the biggest thing lol, need people to sell it too.

Well that depends, would you want to wear a T-shirt with my logo on it ?;) haha! I'd wear anything mate, and supporting other vloggers is a plus :)

:P Design a Cartoon and i might

lucky for me my logo looks good on any thing :) i was thinking about selling merch once i have a fan base i personally hate adverts on my channel but i have to have them to get any revenue in return and it takes money to make money

If you are a fellow motovlogger none of the adds bother me.

If you are a multinational company with a youtube channel and have ads they bother me.
