Guy Martin will not be racing at this year's TT. He is concentrating on his mountain biking along the Rockies from Canada to Mexico which starts just after the TT finishes.

If you enjoy your job, it's hard to give it up. I really like mine, I wouldn't want to change it permanently to anything else. Luckily I'm freelance so I can do other things and work slightly less, not everyone would have that luxury.

I'm sure he is and I know a couple of people who have raced him and they say the same thing.


The thing that I find annoying is that if he wants to be a mechanic so much, be a mechanic - No one is forcing him to be a racer, TV bod etc


I think you can try to be genuine a bit too hard sometimes


Also his interviews that basically blamed everything from chicanes to track layouts etc - Give it a rest
