What To Do When Out Of Inspiration?

Majes

Spanish motovlogger
Hello everyone :D

I'm here to search for some help.

The last few days I went out to record as much as I could... but even if I got so much footage... I feel really not inspirated. Not only that, in the last espisode I set the bar way too high, and i've got the feeling that I can't reach it now.

I feel like the footage I captured and edited for more than 6 hours is boring and slow.

What do you do if this happens? any tips?

BTW: I live in spain, and authorities search for infractions, so no wheelies, no revving, no nothing... It's really difficult to do a fun motovlog here in spain.

Thanks in advance!

My advice is just wait until you get something good. Most people would rather see good content than a bunch of vids with nothing going on. Instead of setting the bar, let the bar set itself.

i'm the improvisation, and video just for fun style.
I don't make like diary motovlogs talking about what I think in life... I just try to make them to entertain people, I try to upload only funny stuff.
Anyways , I like to make a part of instructional video, I already told tips about how to clean the bike, change without clutch, and how to motovlog...

I tried to answer some questions, but it's so boring. I tried to answer or comment other youtuber videos... but it's really boring!

search for "majes en moto" to see my channel. Chapter 5 part 2, the second half, is the style I like.

Well we can't really help with ideas for improvisation style vlogs as you have to... improvise depending on the situation :p

Maybe you can do a video about what happens when you set the bar too high, or look to other perspectives for some inspiration.

Depends on what type of stuff your trying to do, are you vlogging or are you narrating your ride? Vlogging you should have plenty to talk about, narrating is a bit different because it depends upon what happens. Walterific records stuff for days and then takes all the cool shit and slaps it together.

I delete the footage and try again later.

Dont set a time schedule just yet, wait until you can make consistant vlogs before you promise 2 vids a week etc.
It burns out alot of newb vloggers trying to keep up

Smoke some crack drop some pills and get on the bike and see what magic happens :P

I second Marbro here sounds like you overwheled your self with too much footage.

How about doing a parody of other motovloggers? Like, go around saying "Cheah!" to animals rather than people.

Or see how many people you can get to give you a high five or a fist bump in 15 minutes.

Or tell/show me something that many people might not know about your country. When I visited Spain, for example, I was surprised to see so many orange trees. I had no idea oranges grew in Spain.

If you are close to tourist attractions, why not go there and show them to the world and talk a little about why they are important or the history behind them. (Like the Mesquita in Cordoba, for example. Its history is so unique, and especially relevant today... the blending of Muslim and Christian architecture.).

Show me makes and models of motorcycles that are popular in Spain that may not be as popular in other areas or may not even be available in other areas.

You don't have to pop wheelies or be a dick to vlog fella

Everyone has a story that people haven't listened to
