Im looking for a road surface temperature sensor for my bike does anyone know if they existe? and if so can recomend a good one?

Not a clue. I use the "special" method. Down on your knees and lick the concrete, if your tongue sticks to the tarmac its unsafe to ride!

Just put your side stand down. If the stand starts to sink into the asphalt , the road is too hot!

You could always buy one of those laser temperature guns that read the temp of the point it's aimed at, maybe you could get a holster for it too!

I'd be pointing that hot-or-not sensor at people and yelling the result at them.

I'm guessing it's ice warning?

Cars just use a temp sensor somewhere behind the bumper. Perhaps just fit a digital fridge thermometer with a remote probe mounted out of the airflow?

Air temperature is a good enough ice warning. 2 or below in the morning then look out for ice.

Hopefully I wont need anything like this this year around. I know last winter I was in Maryland and every other freakin day it snowed 18+ inches.

Laser thermometer is what they use in racing to test track temps. A cheap one is ok but I would use a quality brand if it is important for you to have accurate temps.
