Youtube doing its thing

After liking a video today, I had the below described outcome and reaction:

That is because all the likes are ghosts...

I've like some videos from small time uploaders in my country before and its the same. They don't register your like until give or take a few minutes to an hour to validate whether the liker is a bot or not.

I've tracked some of my own videos, seen 1 or 2 likes and dislikes pop up within the first hour of the video going live and then disappearing days later when Youtube deletes the bot accounts.

I figured it's something along those lines. But usually, when you click the like, the number increases that very moment. Also Some other likes are updated without reloading the page. So the initial emotion was pretty much as shown

Actually it's YouTube "staring mfkerly" at you, making sure you really like the video before registering your like..
