Huh, i only lost 3 lol :)

Glad i saw this before i figured out my sub count had gone down.... this thread saved my mobile phones life :)

DAMN! I lost nearly 200. I was expecting to hitting 4000 subs by the end of today.

I've been doing this a long time so I guess I had a lot of old, inactive accounts. I wonder if the inactive account names will be up for grabs. Otherwise I see no reason to change people's sub counts if the inactive accounts are still accessible to whoever registered them.

Well I just found the answer to my question. There's an account that I've been wanting for another channel I wanted to start. Its been inactive since 2008 and its still unavailable. So this is just to shut the whiners up that complain about bot usage.

Hrm, I have no idea how many I lost. Makes me a little happier though, knowing that the inactives are being taken out. It's kinda depressing to have a shitload of inactive subscribers and a very small number of actual viewers.

According to SocialBlade, you lost 27 the first time they cleared inactive accounts a month ago. http://socialblade.com/youtube/user/Trinith
Yesterday, you didn't lose any. The SocialBlade site isn't terribly accurate though...YouTube Analytics should be better.

The first time they closed inactive accounts, I lost 73. According to YouTube Analytics though, I gained one. I believe YouTube disregarded the loss of inactive accounts so it doesn't look like it's counting against you or something. This second time they cleared inactive accounts, I didn't lose any.

YT analytics hasn't caught up with it yet I don't think. According to it I lost 3. :)

If you like socialblade you might also check out vidstatsx, it's the same thing (as far as I can tell) and way easier to look at.

You have to tell it to start tracking your channel though, unless someone else already did. Just put your name where mine is in the URL and hit enter...really easy site to use.
