Recently a dive group came to Nashville to look for a missing person.

Here is what they found instead -

They have to pull them out at Neelys Bend on Cumberland River every year when it gets to the point you cant back a boat trailer down the ramp. The stolen vehicles get rolled in and the current takes them down stream a bit.

Understood, I used to live off Little Marrowbone Rd in Ashland City many moons ago.

There is an abandoned quarry up near Tamaqua PA which is full of cars people have tossed and such. Every now and then the township will bring cranes and divers out to it and pull junk out, usually when the junk gets so full its popping up out of the water.

Just think of the pollution they are putting in those rivers, gas, oil, fluids, paint, rust etc.

No. Not that I heard.

My guess is it's just the result of years of dumping. But not sure why. A scrap yard will give you cash for your old junker, unless the cars were involved in a crime and they are getting rid of evidence.
