Why Do You Vlog?

What are you trying to achieve?

For a start, I just like to see my ride, be able to look back on them and muck about with iMovie? But what about you?

I watched others, tried it and enjoyed it.

I've got little I seem to want to yabber about these days, so it'll be compilations and rides from me for now. Might chinwag a bit about the new bike.

Started with a camera so I could watch my riding back and try to improve things.

Found a few others on youtube that were doing this motovloging thing. So though I have skills I'll give it a go.

Now I'm almost 50 video's in and loving it.

I like watching others. But also I like to contribute and be a part of the fun. I find it much more interesting to interact with motovlogger when you are also an active motovlogger. It's mostly a hobby though, I only do it to pass the time and have fun. No interest in making money or a name for myself

I actually started making videos for my airsoft channel a few years ago when I was still playing. I since sold all my airsoft kit to buy my first bike. So I just carried on filming my rides. Then by accident I found Baron Von Grumbles channel. So from then on I just tried it out.

I did about 4 months of vlogs but never uploaded anything until I got my GSR then started up again.

Initially was requested by viewers to do motovlog, use it as a means to share knowledge and opinions mainly about bikes, riding, anything that's related to motorcycling.

From then on found it convenient for other things as well, like doing reviews, etc. Still not big on motovlogs, I do them off and on, in between other videos.

My aim is to do test rides and give opinions on bikes. One day when I am big I will get around to it, I just haven't the time yet!

1 - I want to share this beautiful country with as many people as possible, video is the easiest way.

2 - I want to meet new people here, and I've made a lot of new friends through motovlogging. I also meet up with people doing European tours and show them around the best bits of Switzerland, East France and Northern Italy.

I actually bought my camera to record accident's for legal purposes initially after i got into one.

Turned out I could make vlogs with it.

But I already had a channel for other shit by then, I was just adding on.

I originally was just filming my rides as I loved going on YouTube to watch other peoples bikes and wanted to share my rides. I got heaps watching and thought I would do some more, so I upgraded from my crappy $40 Kmart camera to a go pro and played around some more, plus I upgraded to a bigger bike and could ride a lot harder too I was filming heaps of twisties and as my views and subscribers grew, I was getting asked to do a review video on my bike, so I went out and did that as a motovlog and got a lot of great feed back and was asked to continue motovlogging, so here I am now, loving getting out and doing motovlogs. I always enjoyed watching motovlogs, but never actually saw myself doing them. I love the whole process of getting out and filming on the bike to talking with viewers about the videos and having some great bike talk. Making great friends from people around the world who enjoy what I do, its great.

I started motovlogging because it looked like a fun hobby and I loved the idea of recording my rides. I thought it was perfect thing to add in regards to safety/tickets. It has already proven to get me out of tickets when the police officer lied so that was a win. But my reason for continuing has changed from when I started. Now, I enjoy the interaction with people the most. I have also met and befriended some amazing people. I have essentially for lack of a better way to put it replaced all my non riding friends with riders near me and across the world. I have made some real friendships and connections through this youtube thing which I had not foreseen happening.
