What Do You Enjoy About Other Vlogs

New motovlogger here. Being the perfectionist I am I want to make the most entertaining/relevant vlogs that I can. So I want to know, what do you like to see in vlogs, or what do you enjoy about them?

Impossible question. What I like to watch is different from anyone else. Main thing is to keep it going and maintain interest. Big pauses make it hard to keep up.

I know everyone is going to have different answers which is what I'm going after. Even though it's what YOU personally like, I still want to know. I personally dislike vloggers that excessively swear. I enjoy watching calm, down to earth vloggers, and hey, if they're ona cruiser that's another thumbs up by me. :)

I watch certain vids because the creators have certain content.
Shadetree has aweseome rides with friends
grumble has that wit and sarcasm,
AN has his mobile phone hate etc etc

There isnt one specific thing that gets the viewers, Find the one thing youre good at and do that

Right , my thing is I prefer to cruise on scenic backroads around where I live. I'm hoping to get enough footage to last me through a decent amount of the winter time. Oklahoma gets rather ugly in the winter. Of course I'm going to be myself. Anything else is just going to be forced and unnatural.

Motovlogging itself is a very limited market. There are famous motovloggers, but compared to video game channels, even their subscribership is relatively low. Most of your audience will be guys that ride, so stuff that is relevant to riders is always good. Other than that, keep the vids short. Try to shoot for under 5 minutes. Only show the very best content you record. Most importantly, be yourself and do things that let your personality shine through. No one wants to see someone who is a poor imitation of someone else. Unless you're a comedian and you do impressions for a living. That would be funny as hell.

The sad truth is most of us don't have the charisma and personality to "make it big" in the motovlogging world. We just do it because we like it. so try not to sweat the views and subscribers, especially at first.

Whatever you do, do NOT pay for views and subs. In the old days of YouTube that worked for a lot of people, but their metrics are very different now and they can smell a click farm from a mile away and will delete your video/kill your channel. On top of that, it's engagement that puts you up and keeps you up in the rankings and purchased views/subs will end up killing you. Say you have 10,000 subs you purchased, but only 29 actual people who are active on your channel, your user engagement will be horrible compared to someone who has only 29 subs that are actively liking/viewing/commenting on every video.

The big guys dont have 250k+ people commenting.
hell sometimes they only get 20k views...

Personally I like best the kind of videos that make me laugh. YourPalsChrisAndAl are IMO the funniest cunts and their videos make me laugh every time I see one.

But I obviously enjoy watching more serious videos as well.

Being a sellout like that is the LAST thing I want to do. Like most people, the only reason I'm doing it is because it's something I've been interested in since I came across M13 when his biker rave videos became popular lol. I was about 11 then. Getting extra income from doing it is a huge plus though :)

Unless you can freeflow a vlog for several minutes without pauses or fillers and keep it interesting, then you have to get good at editing. An interesting or funny vlog with poor editing can become unwatchable.

I like wit and reviews, less so the actual landscape. I'll often play a motovlog in the background and not even watch it while I'm at work.
For the most part I like only a few topics in each motovlog, 2-5 minutes long. Any longer and I find I tune out unless it is a really deep or funny subject. I go back and listen to my own vlogs that are longer than that and I get bored haha.

I like the think of different vloggers as different flavours of the main theme.

I get really bored of rage videos though where bikers flip out at cars, best way to watch me unsub unless you have other content that is interesting.

Burlyjack, I can nod my head to you buddy. When a vlogger is using swears as punctuation, it's a turn off.

You got me interested enough to look at your channel, and I liked it.
So, yeah, do what you're doing there. Seems natural enough.
:-)

There are 2 main things I enjoy. Some its what they are riding the other is the personality of the vlogger.

Awesome, thank you very much!

I don't mind swearing as long as it's not over the top. I dunno if it's because I'm 40 or because I'm a low key guy I just don't like videos with folks screaming, hollering, pulling wheelies and doing unsafe stuff. I respect that others enjoy that, but it's not my speed. Lately I've really enjoyed watching dual vlogs with the motovlogger and his wife or girlfriend who also rides.

I cant stand the dual stuff.
I really dont wanna sit in on someones phone conversation.

The only dual's i like , are your pals chris and al. Still dunno why though

Yeah.
Excessive swearing is not good. I never do that.

I always swear just the right amount! :)
