Well, count me in the "exception" to the rule... I mean, I only have 446 subs, but I am only at about 2,800 watch hours, so ...

My average views per month is flying due to two or three videos doing well, I'm over 4000 in the last twelve months but luckily I'm averaging about 730 - 750 hours per month which in twelve months will put me over 9500 subject to the same growth. A really crazy mind blown thing is that there's only 8760 hours in a year, so in effect that means if you have that many views in a year, someone is (on average) watching you constantly o_O ... as for subs still growing steadily need a couple of hundred to tip me over. I'm not rushing or bothered just yet. I have plans for some new things for the channel (well her indoors does ;)) and we're hoping it will create a bit of traffic. But need to get it all in place and do some prep before we hit go. We have some exciting stuff happening and I'm pretty blessed that I've got Chantal on board.
 
It was the subs for me.

The voyeristic* tendencies of YouTube patrons are amazing! They just are shy about subscribing :rolleyes:

I'm picky about who I subscribe to and imagine others might be as well. But I typically engage well with the ones I do sub too. In either case, I can see watch hours being met way before subs for me. My watch hours are steadily climbing but my new subs have stalled out....new video going up hopefully tonight though, so we'll see.
 
Subs are slow to get in this gendre. I suppose if I was an attractive 20 year old girl showing nothing but my face and reviewing Karen videos, It wouldn't be a problem.

Yep - you don't have to be 20, but if you're a woman, it makes it FAR easier to gain subs and views.

Smart, funny, good-looking. 2 out of 3 ain't bad :D

I bet I could get far more subs if I got completely inebriated before pressing Record... but then my rides wouldn't last as long :D
