Were To Put My Dang Sony Mic

Hey guys i have the sony tie clip mic that almost every one uses . Im having trouble with wind , i see alot of guys put the under their cheeck pad and BAM ! There audio is crystal freaking clear. Does anyone have excperiance with doing this ? Were do i put it behind my cheek pad? And hkw do i secure it? Or do you guys have some other areas that work for you? Thanks!

I unclip the cheek pad nearest to the camera. Feed the wire between the clips then clip the pad back into place.

The microphone pokes out at the front of the cheek pad, but is behind the chin part of the helmet so its not exposed to the wind.

The excess wire from the microphone I wrap around the drift camera and holder just incase the microphone falls from the helmet its not lost on the road.

I put mine in my pad. I dont use the sony though..

Same here I place it behind the cheek pad but I also use a mic windshield foam and a zoom h2n to record the audio. So I get full control over the recorded audio.

Later on I sync the audio with the GoPro footage
