Should beginner bloggers monetise their videos?

Personally I've turned them all off on all my videos because I don't see the point in having them if its only gonna earn me $0.01 per 5/600 views?

Whats you guys' opinion?

It's not worth it for me either. It would be a lose-lose. Annoy people with the adverts and I wouldn't make any money.

Exactly. But then again there will be a lot of people who use ad blockers to bypass them.

Why? do people ever complain? or do you see a decrease in views because of the monetisation ?

IMO, for the things that you DONT want your vid to be used for (Someones top10 reveiw, FunniestHomeVideo, etc)
I think that if you 'Monetize', you are protecting YOUR video, YOUR hard work/Idea, or YOUR invention/Mod.
It may give you better chance of getn YT to act on someone else using/airing it, without your consent.

Otherwise, Monetising only makes YT look at your content a lot closer for C/right infringment.

Thats when im Monetizing.
