Hey folks!

I have been experimenting with the 360 camera mounting. I already had a Ram mount on my handlebars for using a cellphone mount or rear facing camera. So I used a couple of the clamps and found the it works pretty good with the selfie stick too!

Plus, I can keep an eye on it.

Nice!

I see that the 360 scene is really taking up!
I also road like this once, only it was a test ride an on ADV bike, so we held it in place with zip ties!

everytime I see this setup it reminds me of medieval horseman spears

Hahaha, I would be scared to be pulled over by a cop if I ride like that. I saw a car with a metal pole sticking out of the passenger window aimed forward, so it's a hazard to cyclists or pedestrians if he doesn't watch out. It's like jousting for cars :D (+ RAM mounts are the best!)

How close would I have to be to someone to touch themo_O? If I am sneaking up that close, then we got other problems to worry about.:p

The 360 look just doesn't do it for me over a whole video, maybe for cut away shots, but not the whole thing. I like the feel and movement of having the camera on the helmet, seeing what the rider is finding in their field of vision, seeing what they miss and the movement of the bike under them. I like that visceral and it just seems not to be there in the 360 footage.

I do applaud your ingenuity though and it is a hoot seeing the way your setting it up! Is there a Medieval Time snear you? Maybe they would be willing to expand on the show and add a steel horse or two!

Have ordered myself some of those RAM mount bits and bobs :-)
