Ultimate Sony Action Cam Helmet Mount...finally!

I actually had quite a few emails sharing the same frustration I was having with getting just the right set up for the Sony on my helmet. I tried sony's helmet kit and even bought the skeleton case to try to make it just right...just fell short of doing what I needed done. I'll go ahead and post the video in the official video section.

Skeleton case directly mounted to the base with 3M Dual Lock holding the base onto the lid = Bob's your uncle. Low profile and stupidly easy to use. If there's possibly a better mount out there, I'm interested.

Couldn't get that to point at where I was looking. I wanted adjustability and ease. I did try the dual lock first...just didn't work out.

I messed around and did the chin mount too. Check out the video section for a link and give some feedback.

How did you mount yours in the chin? I have an AS100v as well and figured out a chin mount which is working for me, but I'm still looking for other ideas that might be better than what I have. I want to post my setup but I still need more posts

Easier if you put your channel link in your signature.

Sorry guys, I've been struggling in classes and working 50 hours a week. 34,000 pages of reading in my one class (and I'm dyslexic so it takes even longer). I have one paper and one report to finish up in the next couple of weeks and I'll get a chance to check back in. I ended up going back to the side mount with a modified stock case. Chin mount caused more noise on my helmet and I actually dropped the camera as the skeleton case closing tab somehow released. Thankfully my cat like reflexes and my 40 year old muscles were able to realize what was going on and I caught it half way though an intersection as it fell!
