Touchscreen Module For Ghost 4k

Matt Leech

What chicken strips?
I'm waiting for the extended battery modules to become available for the Drift Ghost 4K.

While drumming my fingers, I keep coming back to the now-available touchscreen module. Until today I have been unable to justify a purchase of the touchscreen, but fifteen minutes ago, while fiddling with the 4K's settings...

(oh, I should mention that changing the settings on the 4K is a pain in the bum)

...I wondered whether the touchscreen would offer up a new settings interface.

So I've just placed an order for one, I'll give it a try, then post feedback here.

App not allow you to mess about remotely?

It does, but there are many instances where you don't want to be pairing up a phone and using a separate app to change a camera setting. Far better if the device can be standalone, even better if it's standalone and user friendly.

Tbh, the 4K doesn't really appear to be selling itself...

Dunno. It's good enough for me, and I don't feel the need to follow the masses with a funny-looking head-mounted GoPro.

More thinking its appear to those upgrading from other low profile cameras or even the S.

Dunno I've always found once my settings are done I never even look at the menu.

Fair point, but I use my cameras for different tasks, so I'm adjusting the settings frequently: Helmet, car (DVR mode), diving (low light), timelapse (low frame rate), etc

For these cases I'll be adjusting speaker volume, mic sensitivity, ISO, DVR mode.

Also, I might want to manage the content on the memory card, such as deleting all previous files before a long journey.

Anyway, I do interact with the settings on the camera a lot, so the two-button single-direction-scroll/select system of navigating the menus is a pain in bum/fanny.
