I’ve got a Caberg Jackal helmet. The material is thermoplastic and I’ve been advised to never apply any sticker with an adhesive at all because of the potential degrading of the shell which over time creates a weak point of the overall structural integrity of the helmet.
So here is my question : Can I apply 3m 9448a double coated tissue tape to it without (serious) consequences or should I just drop it and get a helmet which is made out of a safe to apply material?
Any help at all is appreciated :)

Awesome question, and I would love to say yay or nay to you on it, but your crash helmet is a safety item and I do not think any of us are "qualified" to advise you on that. I have a carbon fibre helmet and do have stickers on it. I suggest contacting the helmet manufacturer directly and asking them if you are concerned.

Thank you for a quick reply! I was hoping there was any loophole, if you will. But alas I have to realise that an awesome custom looking helmet isn’t within my reach for some time.

Sadly with safety there are no loopholes... (I work in Health and safety)
As for what you chose to do with your stickers and your helmet, that is entirely up to you, but unless we have a secret technician from Arai or Shoei on here, I don't think any of us can tell you that it is ok to do anything to your helmet.
Now if you were asking how to attach a camera or somit, then we can tell you ways to do so... but none are telling you that those methods are safe, they are just offering mounting options.
