Hey guys,

As some of you may know I am doing a motovlog for my final project at Uni, just doing my write up and I am going to be doing a video about apps, this means I have to write up research!!! I was just curious what Biker related apps that you guys use? Im based in the UK so ideally it would be useful to hear of apps that work over here!

There a few motorcycling parking app, which shows you all the motorcycle bays in the city/town. Useful app swell, saves you paying for parking and/or getting a parking fine..

drift app, google maps (to find trails and other offroad stuff), thumpertalk forum app, and slacker radio to listen to music through my bluetooth sena headset! other than that i really dont use any other apps that pertain to riding

again.. not an 'app'... but a ios game i have on the ipad ... Highway rider .... quite basic graphics .. but when you crash - and you will, as you hit the ground/objects/scenery/vehicles ... lots and lots of you gets smashed about... then the next screen lists all your event specific injuries and likely hospital bill .. which then count as in game 'credit' for fast/cool bits on your chosen bike....

it does keep popping into my head while i am riding now though.... well riding and being an idiot sometimes... 'wow, if i lost it there and hit that fence then the car then the bus ... id look like the game character ... with $250k of injuries!!" ... doesnt make me worried or panic about it... but serves as a background reminder!

.. and apparently you can get a special bonus credit .. if you crash fast/hard enough .. and break every single bone in your body in one accident!!!! .. ;)

....

thinking .. i did try out a 'lean angle/speed' app .. but didnt take enough time to set the phone up for accurate use ... plus i disliked the active gps part of it that wanted to use up my data o_O .. which kind of negated a large part of the usefulness of the app..

I'm learning quite a lot here. Does anybody know of any aps for bike routes that work for places like New York?

I use the pirelli app, diablo super biker is what i think its called, itll map your route, top speed, avg speed and lean angle. Give a nifty chart and map it on google maps for you.

I turned it on while i was on the plane to DFW

That's pretty cool - utilizing GPS to track route, speed etc. Neat!

I used a couple of THEORY MOTORCYCLE TEST Apps (UK specific), which I used every lunchtime, while on my break from work, to help me prepare for the Motorcycle Theory Test.... plus passed first time! Doing it this way, didn't need to buy the paperback book version.

ALSO, I'm actually looking for an Android App that will work seamlessly with a motorcycle alarm, so it receives Alerts etc, when the bike gets touched etc. Perhaps even the bikes position on Google Maps? Anyone know a good one for this (package too), I'm all ears. :)
