Funny THE RODE WIRELESS GO 2 - CAN IT PICK UP A FART AT 80 KMH?

Very funny! But also this is a great test because the wind noise is not bad and the microphone can isolate sounds other than the wind to project, that's pretty amazing. This seems like a really good mic. I know/heard the Rode name is kicked around as being one of the luxury brand level of microphones too.

Some microphones (knockoffs/nonames) on Amazon are really sensitive and can pickup everything because of how they are setup but they literally pickup everything which make them useless for motovlogging because of all the extra wind noise or exhaust sounds that drowns out the whole video.

Thanks for sharing!

I took a punt buying this set up in the hope the three units were actually smaller and the microphones would fit within the helmets or chin bar areas (wife is having one too to record our chat whilst riding) , however they are possibly a bit big for that but I still realised I had the option of just clipping them on and trying them in the wind or just plugging in a 3.5 jack mic and taping it in the chin piece. I was amazed though at how the furry cat removed all of the wind noise, without fairing and even up over 100 kmh no issue at all with it in my chest area. Two downsides, not waterproof (but for me in South Australia less of a problem than the UK) and the other is I need to ensure the clip is looped or hooked on very secure as I'd hate to lose one. I'll be doubling up with a decent loop plus velcro. I'm working on a more serious proper video (already recorded) where I do a less farty test at speed to show how good it is.

Haha, that awesome. This sounds like it could make a nice Pros/Cons video as well with all you have described here. Also, I love fury cats, I think they make a world of difference drowning out the wind noise. But take a Rode or Purple Panda mic with really good on-board sound processing and then add the fury cat and you have will have yourself a winning combination of sound quality.
