It’s getting there. The thing with these cameras is they are constantly updating the firmware and improving things.

I can see a few areas where it looks kinda weird but that could just be that we’re not used to looking at 360 video.

What I am highly impressed by is the level of stabilisation that your getting given that your just sitting on the stick.

To be honest I’ll watch how many views you get and decide if it’s time to get one now or not.

Considering the cost, I'd say wise to see if the videos prove popular. Folk don't share videos like they used to though, so no idea if it will get more audience than my previous videos. It'd be nice if some of my dormant subs woke up as it seems I only have a comparatively small handful who are active.

All you can do is create the art. It is up to the viewer to open their eyes.

haha, am sure there has been a few folk doing 360 stuff already! ;-) @R-Rated @AndyManCam etc

Haha! Well, as YouTube shows - there is always room for one more!

My favorite was when you were jousting with it. I am not sure that mount would hold up for highway speeds though.o_O

Wow what sorcery is it? the invinsible selfie stick feature is awesome!!, actually you can see the shadow on pavement but not the camera! Stabilization is amazing! is like if you have a little camera man right behind you all the time, it'd be great to have some shots in the front of the bike too.

Definetively i NEED that camera, outstanding review, and yeah dont forget to turn the camera on :p

Haha, it is all a trick, I actually had a film crew following me and I superimposed the shadow to add credibility! ;-) :D
On that ride I was just sitting on the selfie stick so couldn't easily take a pic, I went out on my Moto Guzzi with it so will see if I can do a screen grab. Hoping to try a new mount point on my KTM tomorrow if it isn't raining. Lamb Chops Rides has also offered to loan me a pretty cool contraption, but going to wait until I have gotten the hang of the camera a bit first :)

That is my reasoning too @SighBored I do hope I can get the hang of the settings on the camera to make it work for me properly! :)

Having it sticking out sideways like that worries me.
It nearly hit the ground/curb a few times.

You can have it sticking out of a backpack above your head for all round vision.
Cable ties could hold it securely.
That would make some interesting views when hanging off the bike around corners :D
Aye, I wasn't even leaning that hard on the roundabout!
Lamb Chops Rides has offered to loan me a body mount selfie-stick so once I am used to how to get the best from the camera, I'll grab that off him if he is still able to loan it! -)

I'm not sure about that, but it does have a removable battery, so you could get a few spare batteries. editing long videos is not fun though, you have to do it on an app on your phone/tablet and it is clunky

There is software for the PC, it is very basic though and needs improving to be useful. The vid above used the PC software to edit it. I now do the 360 editing on my phone and they have just updated the app today which is now looking more stable fortunately. I hope they improve the functionality of the PC software.

Hippodrone did you see any issues with adding the 360 clips with the other video you shot? Pulling the audio from your helmet mic and getting rid of the 360 audio seems to be the way to go due to that exposed mic on the 360.

nope, I've done a few since this vid, but I don't do "360" vids I do "windowed" vids from 360 footage! :)

Have watched several and like how you and some others come in and out using that cam. That would be the look reference the places to ride near the sites I want to show. Then when it comes to the camp grounds do a slow roll through with 360 letting the viewer look around as I talk about the location. I can add clips of specific areas using the 3000. What ya think

You'll not be able to do that, you are either making a 360 vid, or a windowed vid. You may be able to build a website that allows you to link through both types, but YouTube and any editing software currently I don't think will allow that transition
