General Strange Sounds In The Sky

Heard some strange sounds coming from the sky, apparantly Im not alone and they have been heard world wide. What are these sounds?

The hypothesis that a solar flare vibrating the magnetosphere has some merit. The northern lights glow green and are a result of the flares against the magnetosphere.

I'd love to hear those IRL someday. I kinda doubt the theory about the solar flares, or it would be more common around the poles. Besides, Earths magnetic fields are so far out any vibrations in them wouldn't transfer to the atmosphere. I suspect this has more to do with air pressure.
