Just saw this in the newspaper and wanted to share it... I may have to check out his warehouse someday :D ! I see some of the bikes in his collection were the ones I had fallen in love with in high school, back in the day :p . My parents said no, but now they can't say much anymore ;) ~

(except "I sure wish you would sell the thing" ~_~ .....)

...a caption in the article:
"These bikes? Nobody gives a damn about them in Nebraska. They're not a Harley."

(I also wonder how much he charges for service  ~)

Oh my god. The zxrs. I loved those things. A zxr 250 was my first bike.

Thats how these bikes fetch so much money now. What we couldnt have back then, alot of us can have now, and we will pay for it too.

What an awesome story and some beautiful bikes. It's great to see someone with so much focus on original restoration to preserve these for the future. I'm lucky enough to live near the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, and it is amazing getting to see bikes from every generation in a basically unmolested state.

Lucky guy :) . I need to get to one of those museums one of these days ;) . We do have a motorsport museum here in my city, but I think it has to do mostly with the four-wheeled types ~_~ . I hear they even have a Tucker :o .....

It is well worth the trip. Admission is fairly inexpensive for how much there is to see there. This is a really good article to give you an idea of what it is like in the facility. http://www.revzilla.com/common-tread/bama-and-barber-best-motorcycle-collection

I wish so bad I could get a ZXR 250 here in the states I want a Hiroshima Screamer so bad

Man, sometimes I wish I had the extra money to be able to collect classic and make like a shrine... Lol

cool thing about his collection and motorcycle collections in general, they can often be started with not a lot of coin in the grand scheme of things (there are exceptions Norton, Triamph, classics, etc) perfect example is he owns ever single ZXR7 thats worth what 40K (maybe) imagine collecting every generation of a cult classic car, it would cost a lot more then that. I think of my three bikes as a small collection, and I could probably start and collect a bunch of different VFR's for cheap (with the exception of RFV750's and the NR750) sorry flow kinda sucked here but I think you all get my point.

Now where can I store a motorcycle collection .... starts looking for garages.
