Feedback Needed Split recording regular/360°

Here is my first experiment making a video with a 360° version. I put a link to the the 360° footage as a teaser and in the description.

I am curious how the card pops up in this type of setting...

Can you think of a better way of incorporating them?

Looks like YouTube cards don't pop in this setting...it should have been right about where I passed under the train.

Hmmm.

The one thing I've noticed about 360 cameras is that the quality isn't quite there compared to normal cameras but the ability to move around is cool

Yeah, the images say 4k but that is spread over 360° plus the frame rate is not as fast. It would be great to do a side by side in the same video comparison...

I think the GoPro Fusion records in 5.2K 30 which apparently can do 1080/30 in their director app "Overcapture".

I guess this is the trouble with pioneering technology, the cost prohibits doing the things we'd want from it for a few years. Will be bloomin amazing when we can get 1080/60 from them or even 2.7k/60.... but even those with utter beasty PCs will struggle to edit those!

As @HippoDrone says its one of them developing technologies so its one of the trade offs is quality at the minute. I have seen the Rylo 360. Kevin from MCrider did a video on it and the quality is second to none.

From what I can see you can't upload the full 360 video like the Samsung but rather you edit in the app. Not something I looked into but at face value it seems pretty cool.

I seen your videos pop up today but haven't had a chance to take a look.

The main issue I've had with 360 videos is actually moving the camera around yourself. If you use your phone like most people sitting on the shitter when a 360 vid starts your just looking at the ground. So then you have to move it around.

Have a look at the videos Iphonedo has done using 360. Its not really something you can do on a bike but it makes them interesting.

Can you control the Samsung in post and set the pov yourself?

Very cool. I'm trying to think of other places I'd want to use this... Oh i got it, at the drag strip it would be awesome.

I was lucky I snagged this one used from a seller. There are a few on eBay too.

I have not tried fixing the POV yet.
