I ride a

Lets say i buy a bike and declare it as sorn and store it in a garage, do i still need to pay insurance for it ?

A simple google didnt give me much info.

As long as it's taxed, mot'd and insured when you're riding it to the garage. It's perfectly okay to have no insurance whilst it's off the road out of use :)

No you dont have to insure it. As long as its not parked on public roads & declared SORN no isurance or MOT is needed.

But you need, tax, insurance & valid MOT to take it to the garage but it would be cheaper to just get a man with a van to take it there.

No you don't need insurance but there's a company that will insure your bike for you if the bike is sorn, you're not riding it and worried about it being stolen and it is pretty cheap. A Google search should find them.

on what chuckles said .. i looked it up a while back and came back with like £81 a year or something lol
