Well my bars gopro didnt like being in a waterproof case and it started overheating , which Im told is a ting! So I took it out of the cas and a car spat a stone at me and it hit the rear screen and cracked it FUCK!
Its a small crack so Im going to put a screen protector over it allthoug I wished I had one on in the first place! The rear screen is quite vunerable when the camera on the bars is facing the ride !

I have 2 GoPros and the 1 I use most is cracked, I have a OSMO Action and both screens are cracked. They all crack, but I do like my OSMO better. My lens cover cracked on the OSMO and it screws off so easy to replace.

I had that happen on my GoPro Hero 6, I did exactly what you are saying and put a tempered screen thing on it, still works fine now, a couple of years after doing it! :)

The cameras do get hot, the 7 I think even more so, I think it is why so many folk still rate the Hero 5 session, as it has no rear screen, so is a bit tougher

This happened on the NC500 with my GoPro session... Lens cover smashed, luckily didn't scratch the lens itself. Luckily got a decent gorilla glass replacement screen and is just a matter of unscrewing the 12 or so screws.

if you ride at 150 MPH it will cool down! JK please dont do that lol yes my gopro7 heats up bad but so far i havent had any other issues. i have the tempered glass as well! debatong on buy a gopro max

I never used to rate aftermarket protection (keep it clean guys) but after spending a good chunk on the intiail purchase of cameras, memory cards etc, I am slowly coming round to the idea.

If you hate GoPros - try a gitup G3 (or any gitup branded) camera and soon you'll love gopros again.

To be clear whatever you do - do NOT buy a gitup camera.
Hahaha that seems straight forward consumer advice there.
