Sold my bike last week

This made me think of a word. Appreciation.
Being attached to a bike means that, for you, that bike has big emotional value.
But there is a point where that emotional value gets closer to certain amount of money, another kind of value.
If you can get a big amount of money for something you emotionally appreciate a lot, you'll get convinced that taking the money is going to be the best choice, eventually un-attaching yourself from the object.

Unfortunately, never had to sell a bike, don't think I could muster the courage to do so, have wreck one before, and it depressed the shirt out of me.
