How many of you use it to grow your channel, and how effective do you find it?

I've posted basically one post on Reddit today, and then responded to commenters on that post. If you want to be made visible, I suggest you join the bandwagon...

never occurred to me to seek out a moto community on Reddit. There seem to be quite a few though now that I'm looking - each with a couple of hundred people.

And each one of them is a potential new subscriber to your channel! :)

I'll be honest, I think your a exception to the rule here.

I almost guarantee if you post just a video link it wont do anything or will get deleted. I'd say you have simply lucked out because the inbreds over there haven't ventured outside and ever seen a 360 video.

Maybe, but I'm not suggesting folk post a pic of their cat, or a crappy pic of their standard bike next to a dustbin... I think if you put the effort into a post, or have a USP then you can get gains from all the social medias. I made one simple change to my profile on Instagram too nd went from getting maybe 50 "likes" to over 300 on my latest post at the time... Social media is a tool, if you use it right, it will help your channel grow... and am not talking about sub4sub or buying views etc, this is organic growth... the sort that gets a sub, and gets views and comments! :)

I tried reddit when my channel was really new, it didnt really get the response I wanted but that was because I posted my video on a motovlogging subreddit and the culture in those is either people are spamming their content or treating it like a follow-for-follow thing.
Recently I created a new account using my youtube channel name, I'm no longer actively promoting my stuff as it doesnt get the best response (deleted or downvoted). What I have been doing is commenting when appropriate and citing my instagram if someone wants to see an example of a mod that I've done or whatever.
I did have some luck posting one of my camping videos to r/motocamping , depending on what video I put out I'm going to try r/motocamping, r/sportster, or r/DIY. As long as its relevant to the content in the subreddit and I'm not sub grabbing I'm sure it'll continue to work out.

It was pretty simple (although not fully proven to be 100%), I changed my name from my actual name to a description of the content I might be posting about. Apparently the name is really high on the way it searches, and no one is really going to be searching Instagram for my name! Time will tell if it works long term.

I need to play around with Reddit more and see if I can get similar results with other posts.

I think personally that reddit really isnt the place to post actual motovlogs, it seems like informative content does really well.

absolutely, am not saying share your motovlogs there, more to use it to get people interested enough in what you do so they go and check out your channel! :)

Intersting, I will have to play around with that. ¡Muchas gracias!

I do think I should reduce the amount of "average" images I share on Instagram, and just focus on images that will grab attention. I actually recently deleted around 200 images off my Instagram profile as most had sub 20 likes and offered nothing. The good thing about removing them is I can possibly repost them in the future should they become relevant again! :)
