New toys. One day manufacturers will stop loading new tech with quite so much of a premium. Plus the UK loads bike products compared to many other EU states. I know a few people who buy from Germany. i got my PR4s from Germany, got them fitted here and still had change conpared to buying just the tyres from the UK.

battery life last i read was 9 hrs and as far as safety its shell and impact guts are from the same manufacturer as icon and shoei

They have actually just postponed delivery time again. A few weeks ago it was delivery expected in July 2015, now the delivery is expected by December 2015.

So either they sell shitload of helmets and the production line can't keep up, either they have serious manufacturing issues...

I'm still convinced they're data capturing. They been doing it for what, two years now?

Stick with what's proven and keeps being improved upon. Use your mirrors, head check often, and buy good helmets. They're developing helmets now that are lighter, more form fitting, better crash protection, customizable, and at a fraction of the cost of that thing.

Anything with snell or ECE in my book is a usable helmet. For $1300 you can buy a nice used bike and $200 can go towards a nice helmet.. It's ridiculous.

I'd expect the helmet itself to be middle to low grade but it could introduce some new technologies that other manufacturers might decide are worth pursueing. Or they may start a splintered market for helmet accessories like special visors or internal helmet displays. I dont think I'd ever buy a Skully but I like that they are trying to push the technologies. There helmets already cost a fortune and if they made a high quality helmet it would price themselves right out of business.

I know you can get a bikehud over here, they cost about £400, does almost the same as skully but no reverse camera.

I think its a distraction and downright dangerous. Until they have a full on HUD displayed on the shield itself it will be pointless.

what more could they add to it really? I think that's the limitt in terms of possible distractions.

I think it's a great idea, but I don't think that Skully will succeed. Their prototype helmet from 2013 looked so much better than it does now, and this is likely a product that will just keep getting postponed.

I feel like the skully helm is all hype and to much of a distraction I'm like I'd rather keep that stuff out of my face . And they also mention absolutely nothing about its safety .
